💬 Patient Community Notes

TIMING: Avoid testing within 48–72 hours of intense exercise, acute illness, injury, or infection — all dramatically spike CRP. Retest in 2–3 weeks if you get an unexpectedly high result. The functional medicine community views even mildly elevated CRP (above 1.0 mg/L) as evidence of systemic inflammation worth investigating. Always consider alongside other inflammatory markers (ESR, ferritin) for the full picture. These notes reflect common practices in functional medicine communities.

Reflects common practices in thyroid, BHRT, and functional medicine communities. This may differ from standard clinical guidelines. Not medical advice — always discuss with your provider.

General guidelines only. Requirements vary by lab and individual. Confirm with your provider before adjusting any medications.
